West Milford
Summer Band AcadeMY
July 13-17, 2026
About
the Academy
The West Milford Summer Band Academy is an immersive,
high-level music program designed for motivated high school musicians looking to sharpen their skills, grow their confidence, and perform at their best.
Open to students currently in grades 8–12, the Academy combines focused ensemble rehearsals, small-group instruction, and masterclass-style coaching in a supportive, inspiring environment.
Students participate in daily large ensemble rehearsals alongside targeted sectional instruction led by experienced educators and performers. Ensemble placement is thoughtfully determined to ensure each student is challenged at the appropriate level and positioned for the strongest musical experience. The week culminates in a final performance for families and the community, giving students the opportunity to showcase their growth and teamwork.
With a streamlined schedule and a strong emphasis on musical excellence, the West Milford Summer Band Academy delivers a professional-level learning experience close to home - helping students strengthen technique, build musicianship, and deepen their love of performance.
Why the West Milford Band Academy?

Elite Education
Students will get to work with world class educators and performers from some of New Jersey’s finest collegiate music programs and beyond. Our students should get to learn from the best.

Affordibility
In a world of rising costs and with summer music programs nearing the four figure mark, our truncated program is meant to be cost conscious and accessible to any family.

Proximity
High level summer music programs for students in Bergen, Essex, Morris, Passaic and Sussex counties are hard to come by with most being inconveniently located.
