Highlander Band Sponsorship Program

The West Milford Highlander Band has a rich tradition of excellence. Over the past five years, The Highlander Marching Band won the Yamaha Cup at MetLife Stadium three times, the USBands Group VA NJ State Championship three times, and the USBANDS Group VA National Championship. The Highlander Marching Band is also an avid participant in the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade.

 

The hard work and dedication of the students is what makes this band so successful. Achieving a superior high school music program requires commitment from students, educators, parents, and boosters. It also requires the financial support from the community at large. This is done primarily through generous contribution from parents and corporate sponsorship.

 

The Highlander Band is an incredible program that brings much press and prestige to the North Jersey area.  It is a source of pride for students, parents, teachers and employees of the West Milford Township Public School District. The band program teaches students discipline, work ethic, music, athletics, camaraderie, and respect only to name a few. The Highlander Band is highly respected and is building tomorrow’s leaders.

 

West Milford Bands attend over 30 events around the state and outside of New Jersey each year. Most of these events attracts in excess of 1,000 (sometimes more) people all of which see our band. Our corporate sponsorship program has five levels of participation, Friends of the Highlander Band, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Plaid. All are based on the amount of contribution and are based on a Highlander Band High School band season (year). Some of the exposure a corporate sponsor should expect is as follows:

• Band website & Social Media – The highlander band website is the heart to the communication within the program and is a vital source for all who wish to know more about the program. 

• Band Tour shirts – Each participant in the program gets a show shirt along with most parents. These shirts are worn at all events and throughout the year. The exposure with the show shirt alone is worth the cost of the contribution. Approx. 300 each season.

• Band Truck– The band equipment truck is where all activities happen at each show. The truck is how the band is known. When the band arrives at an event and when they leave all eyes are on the truck. The band equipment truck is what makes the band statement and is a source of pride not only within the band, but within the community. 

• The West Milford Tattoo - West Milford hosts the longest running tattoo style performance in the Northeast.  Sponsors can receive ads in the program book, PA recognition, and even have company exposure on a larger scale at the event.  This event brings in over 1,000 people.

Thank you for considering to donate and sponsor the West Milford Highlander Band.  While the students and band directors provide the talent, there is a great deal of volunteer time and financial resources needed as well. The West Milford Band Parents Association (WMBPA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity charged with providing additional funds to develop a successful fine arts education for all students in the band. Your tax deductible donation or donation will allow for this program to continue to thrive, grow and prosper now and for years to come.
